Frank to the rescue.

I got to know Frank through Church.  He was always such a gentleman and so ready to help out in any way, from reading the lesson in services to sweeping the floor, Frank was grand enough to do whatever was needed, even the most menial of tasks, with willing and cheerful grace.  And he cared about important things, great and small:  One time, when we were helping as vergers at a funeral, we noticed that a tiny baby swallow had fallen from its broken nest in the porch.  Having taken advice from Tiggywinkles animal rescue, Frank made a new little 'nest' on the window sill and carefully brought fresh water everyday.  He kept a careful eye on that little bird as its parents brought it food and against all the odds, a week or two later, that tiny little ball of fluff fledged and flew away.

Frank was a gentle lovely man, a gentleman, a tribute to his parents.   I feel so pleased and privileged to have known him.  He has been taken far too soon.
